I didn't actually set out to be a graphic designer. It just fell into my lap, I guess. I have two degrees. The first is in music business management and recording/production. I spent quite some time looking for steady employment with a recording studio, while paying my bills as a bartender.  After a while I decided to go back to school and I earned a degree in electrical engineering. While working on that degree I was introduced to graphic design by a friend of mine, and I really fell in love with it. Not too long after that I began learning more about web design as well. Over time, my passion for design continued to grow. Shortly after graduation I realized engineering wasn't for me. While I did well with it, it just bored me to tears because I missed the creative outlet. Instead, I began working at a large-format digital printing company where I learned a good bit about printing standards. After a couple of years of playing with design and doing free jobs for people here and there, I got my first client in 2001 (who I still stay in touch with and do work for today). At that point I realized I might actually be able to do this for a living. It wasn't too long after that that I decided to take the plunge and quit my job in the printing industry to do freelance design full-time. I have been doing it ever since and I am proud to say that I have a steady growing client-base and continue to love what I do.

I married my beautiful wife, Amber, in May of 2008. I have no kids but I have two beagle/basset hounds named Hughes & Kettner (bagles, they call them). Outside of graphic design, I have an insane passion for music and have been playing guitar for years. Other than that, I guess all I can say is that I am an easy-going, laid back guy who takes his work very seriously and really wants to work with you. :-)
